History

Triona grew out of the company Pythagoras AB which was formed in 1991. Since then the company has steadily grown through recruitment, merges and takeovers. Development has throughout the years always focused on keeping customers satisfied and maintaining profitability.

Through a merger with Daltek in 2001 the number of employees was doubled as well as bringing new customers into Triona. In 2003 the Stockholm office was opened which has under its own steam grown to over 20 employees at present. Triona became the primary shareholder in Fleetech in 2008 and one year later moved into shared office space with them both in Stockholm and Falun in the hope of greater cooperation between the two companies.

In 2005 Berget Systemdesign AB merged with Triona thus diversifying our customer base even more into forestry IT solutions. This base gave Triona the potential to offer solutions within the logistics and transportation sectors, an area where we saw great potential for expansion. Our focus within the forestry sector was strengthened once again in 2008 with a merge with Klar IT based in Härnösand.

Norway has always been an important market for Triona, and in 2006 we formed a subsidiary company in Oslo together with VegInformatikk AS. During 2009 Triona merged with VegInformatikk and subsequently approximately 30% of our turnover is now Norwegian based. This has given us a good base to expand further in Scandinavia.

At the start of 2011 the logistics and transportation sectors were strengthened once more through the takeover of IBS’s transportation business along with their CockPit system.
